New Team Members

Validity is pleased to announce the addition of the following new staff members to our team:

• Emily McClelland has joined Validity as our new Account Executive. She will be responsible for developing and maintaining new and existing partnerships with industry-specific clients to ensure their satisfaction. McClelland has a Bachelor of Arts in journalism and mass communications from Kansas State University.

• Claressa Clem has been hired for the position of Accounting Assistant. Clem has more than four years of experience in accounting. Her responsibilities will include managing client invoicing, processing payables and generating payments.

• Ryan Morley has joined Validity’s quality assurance and compliance department as a Quality Assurance Assistant. Morley has nearly seven years of experience in investigation, loss prevention and compliance. He will be responsible for ensuring efficiency, quality and compliance of information that is released to clients. Morley has a Bachelor of General Studies from Missouri Southern State University.

Validity Screening Solutions Continues to Expand

Validity Screening Solutions has recently increased their office space by 40% in order to accommodate their continuously growing team of dedicated employees. The company is pleased to announce the addition of the following new staff to their team:
Brandon Kenig has joined Validity as a new Account Executive. He will be responsible for developing and maintaining new and existing partnerships with industry-specific clients to ensure their satisfaction. Kenig has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and marketing with a co-major in political science from Creighton University.
Cinnamon Long has been hired for the position of Quality Assurance Assistant. She will be responsible for ensuring efficiency, quality and compliance of information that is released to clients.
Patrick Windes, Rebecca Scarlett, and Nicole Vera have joined Validity’s customer care department as Client Relations Specialists. Their responsibilities include assisting clients, daily administrative duties and ensuring client satisfaction.

The Validity Team Continues to Grow

Validity is pleased to announce the addition of three new staff members to our team. Carolyn Raper-Hortua has been hired as our new Client Relations Manager. Raper-Hortua has worked in the background investigations industry for nearly six years and most recently was employed by Kroll Government Services. She will be responsible for managing and training the client relations specialists and quality assurance department and maintaining department standards. Her educational history includes a double Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Sociology from Iowa State University and a Juris Doctorate from the University of Kansas School of Law. Validity Screening Solutions has also hired two new Client Relations Specialists. Katie Davis and Jeff Reynolds will be responsible for working with new clients, daily processing duties and ensuring client satisfaction.

Validity Hires New Communications Manager

Denise Dillon has been hired as our new Communications Manager. She will be responsible for developing and executing all marketing initiatives as well as all external client communication. Most recently she was on the marketing team at Reece & Nichols corporate office. Dillon has a Bachelor of Arts in business/communications with a marketing emphasis from Augustana College in Sioux Falls, S.D.

Validity recognized at the Blue Valley Board of Education Meeting

Validity was recognized at the October 8th Blue Valley Board of Education Meeting. The recognition was for continuing donations to the Blue Valley Educational Foundation through event sponsorships and our Invest In Tomorrow program. Washington State passes new law surrounding use of credit reports

The state of Washington has passed a new law regarding the use of credit reports for employment purposes. This law only applies to employers in Washington State. The new law adds job relatedness requirement for employers using credit reports. Under S.B. 5827: "[A] person may not procure a consumer report for employment purposes where any information contained in the report bears on the consumer's credit worthiness, credit standing, or credit capacity, unless the information is either: (i) Substantially job related and the employer's reasons for the use of such information are disclosed to the consumer in writing; or (ii) Required by law." This was signed into law on April 18 and goes into effect July 22nd, 2007.

Validity promotes from within

Validity Screening Solutions recently announced its decision to promote Kelly Brannan to Vice President of Operations. Brannan has been with the company for more than four years and was promoted from her previous position as Director of Client Services.

Kristin Smith, our manager of client services for the academic division was recently quoted in the February 4th edition of the Hartford Courant newspaper. The article is titled, “Colleges Digging A Little Deeper.”
